Lily Howell

My name is Lily. This is my first year in robotics. I am a sophomore at Roswell high school. I like Oscar robotics because I enjoy building robots. I work with the mechanical and business teams on OSCAR.

 

 

Mimi McGowan

My name is Mimi McGowan, I am 15 years old, I’m 4”11 and I’m a freshman. I’ve actually never been in robotics (very excited). I’m very active when it comes to the end of the school day because I’ll usually be outside running, biking or in general hanging with friends. I love taking pictures of flowers. My birthday is June 23rd. I hope to learn more about robotics and meet new people in all grades.=)

 

 

Blake Johnson

I’m a sophomore at Roswell High School. This is my second year in robotics. Last year I helped build the FTC and FRC bot. I was on the drive team during FRC. I am a part of Electrical and Mechanical. I enjoy writing, reading, playing baseball, listening to music, drawing, and playing the guitar. I’m also an employee at Chick Fil A.

 

 

Annie Jones

Hello my name is Annie and I like to participate in track and field as a short distance runner. I also like to paint and my work has been shown in many art showcases around Atlanta. I enjoy learning how robotics works as this is my first year in Oscar. I am in my senior year and I plan on attending a technical college after high school to major in biomedical engineering.

 

 

Jared/Jake/Jerry Crabtree

This is my first year in Roswell robotics. I am a senior at Roswell high school. I spend most of my free time working on, or learning how to work on, cars and engine mechanics. Any other free time I have I spend on guitars.

 

 

Wessel Bos

I am Wessel A. Bos, the Dutch BoiTM. I’m 14 and I’m a drummer. I’m a freshman at Roswell High School. This is my first year doing robotics, but I believe I fit in well with everyone. I collect things such as playing cards and metal to melt down and turn into parts. I have my flaws but I think building robots is one of my talents.

 

 

Sumayyah Repole

This is my first year in robotics, I am in the mechanical department, so far it has been very exciting and fun. When I’m not in robotics I usually am playing sports, practicing martial arts, working on ceramics, or playing NBA 2k with my brothers.

 

 

Vinay Hegde

Hi I’m Vinay. I am a freshman and this is my first year in robotics. I like Oscar robotics because I enjoy building robots. I really enjoy learning in the STEM field and working with others. Team OSCAR is a big family that I love spending time with and learning with.

 

 

Rhett Esval

My name is Rhett Esval. I am in 9th grade. I enjoy working inside computers. I also enjoy photography and astronomy. I like Oscar robotics because I enjoy building robots. Whenever I get the chance I love gazing at the stars. I also like going out to take pictures whenever I get the chance.

 

 

Muhammad Uddin

Hi! I am Muhammad. I am a freshman, and this is my first year in OSCAR robotics. I like Oscar robotics because I enjoy building robots. I like working with computers and helping my friends with their devices when I can.

 

 

Remy Slosberg

My name is Remy Slosberg. I am a sophomore at Roswell high school. In my freetime I enjoy coding. I program in html, javascript, and some other languages. I know some basics in hardware and want to learn more. I like robotics because it gives me experience with teamwork.

 

 

Rajath Prabhakar

I am a freshman at Roswell High School. I’ve been participating in Robotics for 3 years. I’m having a lot of fun here in Robotics. I work in the mechanical aspect of engineering. In my spare time, I like to play the piano, football, and basketball.

 

 

Marshall McGaugh

My name is Marshall McGaugh, I am a freshman, and this is my first year participating in robotics. I just moved to Georgia from Michigan over the summer and this is my first year ever doing robotics. I have learned a lot. I am on the roswell cross country team, and I enjoy playing basketball, tennis and skiing (I can’t ski much here in Georgia).

 

 

Charles Snider

My name is Charles Snider and this is my first year in robotics. I didn’t join the club with much experience, but have constantly learning new skills in mechanics and observing the programming development process. Each day is something new new and an exciting experience.

 

 

Hunter Heick

My name is Hunter Heick and this is my first year in robotics. I started out the robotics year skeptical but now thoroughly enjoy learning mechanics and programming. I joined the club because everyone was very welcoming and I had learned so much on my first day. I spend my free time reading, writing, and playing softball for my local team.

 

 

Dora Avun

This is my second year in OSCAR robotics as well as in the U.S. and last year in high school. I don’t talk much, (I talk when necessary). I usually work on mechanics in OSCAR. I am currently developing an FPS horror game (Night of Nightmares). I hope to major in quantum computing/computer engineering. Arrivederci!

 

 

Joshua Davis

I have been in robotics for 2 years. I am a tenth grader at Roswell High School. I’ve been playing the violin for 11 years. I am in the drama club. I enjoy coding, drawing, and composing music. I play soccer and do track and field. I began coding in 7th grade and now I make apps.

 

 

Drake Mellie

Hi I am Drake. I am a freshman, and this is my first year in robotics. I like Oscar robotics because I enjoy building robots. In my free time I like playing video games. Robotics has helped me to learn a lot and make a bunch of friends, too.

 

 

Wyatt Setzer

Hi! I am Wyatt. I am a freshman and this is my first year in robotics. I like Oscar robotics because I enjoy building robots. I like spending time with my friends and playing video games in my free time. Robotics gives me a time to both work, learn, and spend time with friends.

 

 

Joe Ross

I am writing a paragraph about myself, Joe Ross. Yay! I am a Senior at RHS and am taking way too many AP’s. I enjoy gaming and spending time with friends (very interesting, I know). This is my first year of robotics, and I am loving it. I have very little background in robotics, but I have some background in programming, as I have taken AP Computer Science. I can also drive a robot, I guess, so that’s cool. So, yeah. That’s me in a nutshell. Goodbye.

 

 

Alexa Merkens

Hi, I’m Alexa Merkens, I’m a Sophomore at RHS, and this is my first year in Robotics. In addition to the Robotics team, I’m an active member of the RHS computing club, where I help to organize the school’s annual Hour of Code, and Beta. I am mostly involved with programming and occasionally business. I like frogs, dancing, sewing, and funky clothes, and I can never be found without my hoop earrings, bell bottoms, and platform flip-flops. I hope to one day be able to combine my love of programming and computing with design in my future endeavors.

 

 

Davis Poole

My name is Davis Poole and I’m a sophomore. This is my first year in robotics and I joined after Marching Band. Along with robotics I am in the Jazz band and am a member of the Roswell Nestwork. I enjoy Playing Trombone, Engineering, Construction, Video games, Acting, and Movie editing. One day I hope to become a Civil Engineer and live somewhere in the north.

 

 

Will Crawford

Hi I am Will. I am a freshman, and this is my first year in robotics. I like Oscar robotics because I enjoy building robot. I am in Mr. Bishop’s fourth period drafting class and love working in STEM.

 

 

Samantha Dickinson

Hi my name is Samantha Dickinson and I’m 15 years old, I am in 9th grade, I am a writer, gamer, and a beginner in being a Youtuber. I have a siberian husky named Luna and a 5 year old brother that is super annoying.. I love to help others and animals I am in four clubs SkillsUSA, robotics, animal rescue, and pun club. I am always quiet except when needed, I am creative, have a crazy imagination, I spend my free time playing video games like, Minecraft and lego dimension. I also write books like Warrior Girl. I was born on 11/15/02 13 weeks early, I have ADHD and ADD (since I was two years old). I joined this team so I can be like my dad who is an I.T guy and has been for 19 years, I also thought that this was going to be like Battlebots but I was dead wrong.

 

 

Tony Averbukh

Hi my name is Tony I have been on Oscar for 1 year but have done robotics for a while in the past. I am a freshman and dedicate all my free time to robotics. I have a little brother who is the most amazing 5 year old in the universe and my time is about evenly split between him and studying once I’m not in robotics.

 

 

Matthew Greenberg

I’m Matthew Greenberg, this is my first year at Oscar, but I did robotics for one year in middle school. I joined the team because I’ve always liked STEM. I made drive team for FTC this year, which has made me really committed to the club. So far, everyone has been very welcoming, and I have had so much fun in the club. Outside of robotics, I enjoy playing video games and playing soccer.

 

 

Connor Gilreath

My name is Connor Gilreath. I’ve been a member of Roswell Robotics for 2 years. I am an 11th grader at the high school I work mainly in the business department of the club, however I do help with mechanical occasionally. I am very intrigued by automotive vehicles and computers. When I am not at robotics, you can find me playing video games or designing cars. I am currently leading a team of new members in the process of building an outreach robot to be used for teaching and community involvement.

 

 

Karem Bayindir

Hi I’m Karem and This is my first year in robotics. I am a freshman. I enjoy coding and building robots. I like playing video games and spending time with my friends when I’m free. In robotics I work with mechanical to build the robot.

 

 

Young Choi

This is my third year in OSCAR robotics. During my freshman and sophomore year, I was a member of the mechanical department of the club because I enjoyed building the robot for the FTC and FRC. This year, I am a member of the programming department for the FTC robot because I started gaining programming knowledge in sophomore year, and now I enjoy programming the robot more than building the mechanics of the robot. When I am not in robotics, I spend my free time playing video games, doing schoolwork, and taking a good night’s sleep at home! After I graduate high school, I hope to major in computer science and become either a software engineer or a video game programmer in the future.
